La Grange Climbs Above 0

Temperature reaches 3 but wind chill hovers around -14.

La Grange is experiencing positive temperatures for the first time in nearly 40 hours as the mercury climbed to 3 above zero shortly after 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

Though the wind chill is 14 below zero, the current forecast no longer calls for sub zero temperatures in the seven-day predictions with a high of 15 Wednesday and a 30 percent chance of snow.

Schools and other organizations are expected to be open Wednesday.
