Helping Hand Center's Craft Fair
Shop over 40 crafters selling handmade goodies including floral decorations, Christmas decorations, candles, greeting cards and more, during the Helping Hand Center Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 9649 W. 55th St. in Countryside. Santa will visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
More About Helping Hand Center
Helping Hand Center has been helping individuals with developmental disabilities since 1955. It is conveniently located across the street from a Pace 330 bus stop. The effort starts with medical services: speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy. There is also a pre-school preparation program, as well as an autism school and clinic. For adults, there are social skills training, counseling, behavioral therapies, employment counseling and independent living skills. Additionally, there are classes on cooking and computers. The center has some sister organizations: athrift store in Brookfieldand SubCon Packing & Assembly in La Grange Park.
