He's Hoff the Show: David Hasselhoff, who graduated from Lyons Township High School in '70, became the first elimination from "Dancing With The Stars", during its live broadcast on ABC Sept. 21. The Hoff, known best for his roles in "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider", said after the cut that he felt bad for his dancing partner, Kym Johnson, who had worked so hard to get him ready for the dancing competition reality show, and thanked his two grown daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley, who were in the audience, for their support. Soccer Stardom: On Sept. 14, Lyons Township High School '10 grad Chris Meingast was the subject of a Wright State Raiders feature: "Freshman defender brings a winning attitude to the 2010 men's team." According to the article, Meingast has appeared in three of the Dayton, Ohio Raiders' four games this season. Meingast, an All-State and All-Sectional high school player, helped lead the LT Lions to an Illinois State Championship, and to becoming Sectional Champions, Regional Champions and West Suburban Conference Champions. David Hasselhoff Joins Stars in Dancing Show: The 'Hoff', who graduated in 1970 from Lyons Township High School, is to appear in Dancing With The Stars, the hit TV show that pairs celebrities with professional dancers in a competition where one couple is voted off every week by a panel of judges. Jazzy Jeff: Jeff Hornacek, who graduated in 1981 from Lyons Township High School, has been rated as the ninth greatest player of all time on the NBA Jazz, in this opinion article published July 30 on the Bleacher Report, a sports news Web site.
