Winter Weather Advisory In Effect for Cook County
Cook County could receive four to seven inches of snow Thursday evening.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Thursday evening throughout Cook County.
According to the Service, rain is expected throughout the day Thursday followed by snow around 9 p.m. Snowfall is expected to be "heavy" at times and Cook County could accumulate as much as four to seven inches. In the evening winds could reach 10 to 15 mph with the low around 30 degrees.
The Service also forecasts a 100 percent chance of snow early Friday morning dwindling to 20 percent by the evening. Another inch of accumulation is expected.
According to the weather service, Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 31.
