West End Art Festival Returns to La Grange This Weekend
The work of 60 jury-selected artists will be featured in the West End Business District on Saturday and Sunday in La Grange.
La Grange's wildly successful West End Art Festival returns this weekend, Sept. 15-16, to the West End Business District with 60 jury-selected artists showing their work over two days.
This year, the festival kicks off with a Friday night preview from 6-9 p.m. Jazz fans can dig music from the Marlene Rosenberg Septet featuring vocalist Tammy McCann, food from local restaurants and mingle with festival artists before the big weekend.
The festival officially opens on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Now in its 16th year, the fest features a stunning array of work with styles ranging from woodworking to sculptor, oil paints to watercolors and photography and jewelry. Click here to see photos from last year's West End Art Festival to get an idea.
The fest always draws a huge crowd to La Grange. Those who live along the BNSF rail line can take the Metra directly to the event by getting off at La Grange's Stone Avenue Station—it will literally drop you off right in the middle of things and you wont have to worry about parking.

When is Western Springs Patch going back to covering things in Western Springs? Isn't that the point of having a Western Springs Patch?

Hey Julie, I'm but one editor with three towns to cover, so you'll be seeing more coverage of the area in general on the site. However, we're definitely still covering Western Springs. See the article I just put up on bike thefts and our coverage last weekend of "Moonlight and Magnolias" opening at TWS and many more.
With big events like West End Art Festival, we're definitely sharing that coverage around because people from so many village's outside of La Grange are also interested in the information.
Thanks. If you have more questions, feel free to email me at westernsprings@patch.com

As a Western Springs wood turning artist who has participated in West End since 2007, I'm happy to see the coverage. I invite all you readers to come see the show. I will be doing live demonstrations on the lathe. Drop by and see how wood turning is done.

The West End Art Fest is as perennial as the Pet Parade! More importantly it's a good excuse to put off any fall projects until next weekend! It's a great way to support artists & artisans!
