Viewfinder previewed what's in store for all that attend Oct. 1 at the firehouse.

This week Viewfinder got a back stage tour of the upcoming La Grange Fire Department, 300 W. Burlington Ave., open house.  Firefighter Eric Jaeger took Viewfinder around the firehouse and gave us a preview. The event takes place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Here's the schedule of events for the day:

11:00- 11:45     Visit from Sparky

12:00-2:00      "Anthony the Balloon Guy"

12:00-12:30     House Burn Demonstration

12:30-1:00       Station Tour

1:15-2:00         Visit from Sparky

2:15-2:45         Station Tour

2:30-3:00         House Burn Demonstration

Running throughout the event are the following:

  • Blood pressure screening by a paramedic student
  • T.V. with educational videos played
