The Community Park District of La Grange Park this summer will kick off a fundraising campaign to built a seven-foot memorial wall in Memorial Park, My Suburban Life reported.

The site, located at the northeast corner of the park, will feature the wall with text honoring veterans and carvings of the medallions given by each of the U.S. military branches, a patio, benches, flower boxes and a donor's wall, the paper said.

Roy Cripe, executive director of the park district told the La Grange Doings a portion of the estimated $80,000 project cost has been raised. According to the Doings, details of the fundraiser should be available July 4.
