Seven Cases of Vandalism, Criminal Damage Reported in La Grange

Here is a list of items taken from the La Grange police blotter.

Six apparently unrelated cases of vandalism or criminal damage to property were reported between June 10 and 12 to La Grange police.

A resident of the 300 block of east Plainfield Road came in to the police station June 12 to report her Nissan Altima was damaged.

Another resident of that same block told police June 11 that he found scratches all over his gray Volkswagen.

During the night of June 11, someone knocked over the “All Nations Assembly” sign at 248 Sawyer Ave. There was no permanent damage and the sign was put back up. 

A woman said she had parked in the 0-100 block of Harris Avenue, returned to her black Mazda at about 7:50 p.m. June 10 vehicle and found someone had sideswiped it.

Someone smashed two ceramic flower pots on the front porch of a home in the 400 block of south Spring Avenue and knocked over two ceramic decorative lawn benches, police learned at 12:01 p.m. June 11.

Someone broke the doorbell at La Grange Bible Church,  850 S. Seventh Ave., and wrote on the building in pencil, police learned at 10:43 a.m. June 10. Church officials looked at video of the incident, said they recognize the offender and will handle the matter themselves.
