Blotter: Rocks at Windows, Burglary and More
The following items are from Patch's reporting of the La Grange police blotter.
Rocks Thrown at Window
A resident of the 800 block of south Catherine Avenue told La Grange police at about 8:43 a.m. Jan. 29 that her teenage daughter was home alone and someone was throwing rocks at the window, possibly trying to get in. Police investigators had no more information Jan. 30.
Burglary Suspected
Residents of a home on the 0-100 block of north Edgewood Lane reported at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 28 that someone may have entered the house about 15 minutes earlier. The husband searched the house and found no strangers there. Police said no entry was made.
Auto Broken Into
A vehicle parked outside Chipotle, 34 N. La Grange Road, was broken into at about 12:56 p.m. Jan. 27 and a shoulder bag was stolen from inside. Its value was less than $300.
Car Suspicious
A white, four-door car was reported driving slowly on the 0-100 block of Seventh Avenue at about 5 a.m. Jan. 27 and stopping at every couple houses.
Email Hacked
No loss was reported after a La Grange woman told police Jan. 28 that her email was hacked and someone was trying to wire money.
Man, Car Parked in Lot Hit
A vehicle parked in village Lot 3, on the north side of Harris Avenue at Madison Avenue, was found at about 12 a.m. Jan. 29 to have been hit by another vehicle. Other than a paint transfer, there was no damage, police said.
A Western Springs resident also reported he was grazed by a car while in Lot 3 at about 6:56 p.m. Jan. 28, but was not injured. The driver may not have realized the pedestrian was hit, he said.
