LGP Hosts Open House to Discuss Possible Post Office Closure

The Village of La Grange Park will host an open house at Village Hall on Monday, Jan. 30 to discuss the possible closing of it's local post office branch.

La Grange Park residents will get another chance to voice their opinion about the possible closure of their local post office branch at a Village-sponsored public meeting on Monday, Jan. 30 from 5-7 p.m.

At a Village Board meeting on Jan. 24, Village President Jim Discipio encouraged residents to come to the meeting and voice their concerns. Discipio added that with the help of resident Tom Serafin, the meeting would be videotaped and sent to the post master general in Washington D.C.

Additionally, residents can get a chance to talk with Congressman Dan Lipinski at the meeting, who is planning to be present.

Residents can show up any time between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to share their thoughts with the congressman and village.
