Blotter: an Uncooperative Victim, Minor Drug Charges and an Old Case

The following items are from Patch's reporting of the La Grange and La Grange Park police blotters.

Victim Uncooperative

No charges were filed after La Grange police said a woman in her 20s was uncooperative after officers were investigating a report of a woman screaming at about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 15 outside Nazareth Academy, at Ogden and Bassford avenues, that her car and baby were gone. Her boyfriend also was questioned.

Identity Stolen

A Lisle man told La Grange police Jan. 13 that his bank said two accounts had been opened in his name and he did not know about it.

Minor Drug Charges

A 19-year-old Countryside man was charged with possession of 30 grams or less of cannabis after La Grange police stopped his car at 49th Street and Madison Avenue at about 12:44 a.m. on Jan. 16.

An 18-year-old Lisle man was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and was ticketed for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and a vehicle light violation when La Grange police stopped his vehicle at 51st Street and La Grange Road at about 11:48 p.m. on Jan. 13.

Old Case

La Grange police said Jan. 16 that they are investigating a report two days earlier from a La Grange woman who said her teenage son with special needs may have been sexually assaulted seven years ago. Additional circumstances recently came up, police said in explaining why the report was made this year.
