Blotter: Woman Wanted in Stabbing Incident, LT Student Arrested and More

The following items are from Patch's reporting of La Grange and La Grange Park police blotter.

Woman Wanted in Stabbing Incident

La Grange police went to a home on the 300 block of Bluff Avenue at about 3:10 a.m. Dec. 18 but said they could not find a woman wanted by Oakbrook Terrace police in connection with a stabbing. Police were to tell her she had to get back to the Hilton within an hour or police would come for her. No more information was available about the incident and whether she was a suspect or a witness.  

LT Student Arrested

A juvenile attending Lyons Township High School’s North Campus, 100 S. Brainard Ave., was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 8:34 a.m. Dec. 19. No more information was available from police about the student’s age or sex.  

Three Vehicles Broken Into

Christmas presents were stolen out of an unlocked car parked in the driveway of a home on the 700 block of south Madison Avenue, La Grange police were told at about 7:19 a.m. Dec. 19. Taken were two pairs of Nike gym shoes.

A vehicle parked on the 600 block of east Elm Avenue was burglarized over the weekend, police learned Dec. 19. The loss was not listed.

Two vehicles parked at Pinner Electric, 650 E. Elm Ave. ,were broken into the previous night, La Grange police were told Dec. 17.

Vehicle Hits School Bus

A 55-year-old Westchester woman was not ticketed after the 2005 Chevrolet Carryall she was driving struck a 2002 Ford school bus owned by American School Bus Inc. of Oak Forest and parked at 1001 Spring Ave., at about 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15, according to La Grange police.

Hit-and-run Reported

An unknown vehicle struck a 2001 Volvo truck parked in a private lot on the 500 block of East Avenue and fled, La Grange police learned Dec. 15.

Cab Struck

No injuries were reported or tickets issued after a 2007 Chevrolet Impala collided at Hillgrove and Catherine avenues with a 1999 Audi owned by 5th Avenue Cab company at about 12:45 p.m. Dec. 14.

Car Hits Pole

A woman told La Grange police Dec. 17 that a friend was driving near the post office when their vehicle swerved to avoid two cars and hit a pole on the east side of Ashland Avenue north of Hillgrove Avenue. The woman said there was minor damage to the pole. A police officer reported several poles in that area were slightly bent.
