St. Francis Xavier parish in La Grange would like to thank parishioners, community members and businesses for their tremendous support of the school's largest fundraiser,  the Wild West Festival held on April 28.  Thanks to your generosity, this event was the most successful fundraiser in the school's history.

Funds generated from this biennial event, as well as our annual "Building our Future" fund help finance significant building and classroom improvements, technology upgrades, tuition assistance and general operating costs for the school.  Some of the immediate upgrades that auction dollars will fund for the 2012-13 school year include:
•       $60,000 in new laptop equipment, specifically two new mobile laptop labs that include a total of 54 new Apple Mac Air laptop computers.  These laptops are in addition to the 200+ existing Mac computers currently used in the school. 
•       25 additional Apple iPads and monthly technology training for our teachers to keep them up to date on the latest features, software and ideas for integrating their use in the classroom.
•       Additional professional development for our teachers will be provided throughout the school year to stay current on best practices.
•       Classroom improvements will include a die cut machine, an additional interactive white board, document cameras, LCD projectors, Kindle e-readers and electrical upgrades to support current and future classroom technology. 
•       Visual improvements to the Main Campus building include painting the hallways of the first and second floors of the school, adding large bulletin boards in the corridors and stenciling inspirational quotes throughout the building.
•       Additional tools for our resource teachers include whisper phones and individual blackboards to better enrich the learning experience for the students they assist.

Saint Francis Xavier School relies immensely on the financial support from the Wild West Festival, our annual "Building our Future" fund, golf outing and 5K run to subsidize our school budget and finance vital school improvements.   Your generosity and participation in these events helps our Parish School maintain a quality academic and faith based education while keeping tuition costs manageable for our school families.
