Local Lions Club Supports Library

The La Grange Public Library has received a monetary gift of $600 from the La Grange Lions Club for the third year. This donation has been designated for the purchase of additional large print books.

The demand for popular books in large type format has increased dramatically over the past few years. The La Grange Public Library currently has over 1600 large print books and will acquire roughly 25 more through the recent gift from the Lions Club.

This year the Lions Club of La Grange is focused on raising funds for genetic research to reverse blindness in two area community children.

If you would like more information about the La Grange Lions Club chapter, please contact club president Todd Combs at todd@sandybeachsales.com. For large type formats and questions call or visit the La Grange Public Library at 708.352.0576.

The Lions Club is the world’s largest service club organization. It has 1.35 million members in 206 countries. They are best known for fighting blindness.
