Go Green La Grange invites the public to a free viewing of the film, Kilowatt Ours, on Thursday, February 28th, at 7pm on the lower level of the La Grange Public Library.
For the first three months of 2013, Go Green La Grange is helping local residents to learn more about the primary sources of our electricity and about ways to use less electricity. This month, we are showing a documentary that addresses both of these issues. Kilowatt Ours is a one-hour long, award-winning film that follows filmmaker Jeff Barrie as he searches America’s cities, including Chicago, for solutions to the great energy problems of our day.
Although we use electricity every day, few of us are aware of the environmental impacts of burning coal and generating nuclear power. How we obtain our electricity directly impacts the quality of our air, food, and water. There is a lot we can do to make a difference. Kilowatt Ours offers simple, practical, and affordable solutions and shows how we can save electricity, save money, and improve our planet and our health!
