BRONZE MEDALLION’S AVAILABLE FOR VETERANS

Who Have Private Grave Sites and Markers

Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., Brookfield, IL; is proud to assist our Veteran’s and their loved ones obtain a Bronze Medallion honoring their service for our great country.  We will be honored to help facilitate this process whether or not we have served your family in the past.  The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is offering a Bronze Medallion for Veteran’s who chose not to be buried in a national Veteran’s Cemetery and who have purchased their marker privately.  This Medallion is a symbol, representing their Branch of Service (BOC) and a tribute to them for their unyielding service to the United States of America.

There is no charge for this Medallion. You will have three different sizes to choose from depending on the dimension of the marker, headstone, mausoleum or columbarium niche cover.  The Medallion is sculptured in Bronze and has Veteran embossed and curved across the top; a folded flag in the center and the Branch of Service he/she served is stated underneath the flag.  The Medallions represent all branches of service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines Corps, Merchant Marine, Army Air Forces (WWII), Coast Guard, USACC, WAAC, etc. If the Veteran served in more than one Branch of Service, the BOC will be abbreviated at the bottom.
